Acceptable Use Policy

Content standards, safety reports, review and enforcement for AI content.

Last updated: 2026-10-16

Scope and responsibility

This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to photos, text, audio, video, templates, generation requests and outputs uploaded, generated, stored or shared through DuoMeme, including private content. Users must be at least 18. Each uploaded portrait must depict one adult; you must be that person or have their explicit permission and the necessary rights to the material. Consent does not permit prohibited content.

Prohibited content and conduct

  • Pornography and NSFW: sexually explicit acts, sexual nudity, pornographic content, sexual services and fetish content. Do not use the service to undress people or create sexualized edits.
  • Violence and gore: graphic injury, mutilation, torture, cruelty, or content that encourages violence, self-harm or harm to others. Terrorist or extremist recruitment, mass violence, genocide advocacy and instructions for weapons of mass destruction are prohibited.
  • Hate speech: attacks, dehumanization, discrimination or calls for violence against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or other protected characteristics.
  • Child safety — zero tolerance: child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child sexual exploitation, grooming, sexualization of minors and any sexual content involving a person under 18 or appearing to be under 18 are strictly prohibited. This includes synthetic, fictional, altered and AI-generated depictions. Do not upload children's portraits or use the service to endanger children.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII): intimate imagery created, altered or shared without consent, sexual deepfakes, voyeurism, sextortion and threats to expose intimate material are prohibited.
  • Deepfakes and impersonation: deceptive impersonation, fabricated evidence, false endorsements, fraud, and content falsely presented as an authentic recording of a real person's words or actions are prohibited. Do not use another person's likeness without authorization, clone their voice, or conceal that an output is AI-generated. Permission to use a portrait does not grant permission to misrepresent a person.
  • Copyright and trademarks: do not upload or generate unauthorized copies of protected photos, artwork, music, lyrics, recordings, logos or other protected material, counterfeit branding, or misleading claims of affiliation. You are responsible for obtaining rights for your inputs and intended uses of outputs.
  • Other abuse: harassment, threats, doxxing, privacy violations, scams, unlawful content, malicious false reports and attempts to bypass safety controls or account restrictions are prohibited.

Content review and current safeguards

The service uses preset scenes and server-controlled generation instructions rather than accepting arbitrary user-written generation prompts. The generation endpoint requires an explicit consent confirmation. These are preventive constraints, not proof of a person's age, consent, ownership or the safety of an image.

Safety reports are reviewed manually by the operator. Review considers the identified material, relevant task records and the information supplied by the reporter, and may require further information. Access to private material is limited to what is needed for the investigation, subject to our Privacy Policy. We do not operate a staffed 24-hour moderation team.

Current content review is primarily manual review triggered by reports; it does not include safety screening of every generation input and output. Provider errors or rejections are not a substitute for such screening, and a successful generation does not mean the content has passed a safety review.

Report content or a rights violation

Anyone, including someone without an account, can email support@duomeme.com. Use the subject Content safety report; for child safety, NCII or immediate danger, start it with URGENT. Signed-in users can also open a support ticket using the same subject. Email is available if you cannot sign in.

Include the content URL or task ID if known, the category of concern, a short description, the approximate time and a reply address. For copyright or trademark complaints, identify the protected work or mark and your relationship to the rights holder. You do not need to purchase anything or be the affected person to report a safety concern.

Do not download, attach or redistribute suspected CSAM or intimate imagery. Provide identifiers and a description instead. Never send passwords, payment card details or unnecessary personal data. We limit disclosure of reporter details to what is necessary to investigate or comply with law; we cannot promise absolute anonymity. Reports are assessed on their evidence, and good-faith reports are welcome even when no violation is ultimately found.

Response times and enforcement

The operator monitors the reporting mailbox and handles reports as follows. Business days mean Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays in China, in China Standard Time (UTC+8).

  • Ordinary reports: acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and provide an initial decision or progress update within 7 business days of receipt. If further investigation is needed, explain the reason and next expected update. An initial update is not a promise that a complex investigation is complete.
  • Urgent reports: child sexual exploitation, NCII and credible danger to a person receive priority. On discovery, immediately restrict access to relevant content under our control while investigating. Do not wait for the ordinary reporting window. This mailbox is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.
  • Confirmed violations: remove or disable access to content under our control promptly after the decision, issue a warning or require correction as appropriate, and notify the affected user and reporter where lawful and possible. Serious or repeated abuse may result in termination of service. Suspected illegal activity is handled in accordance with applicable preservation and reporting obligations.
  • Credits and refunds: a report alone does not automatically erase purchased credits. Content removal is not an automatic cash refund. Credit adjustments and refunds follow the Refund Policy, the facts of the case and mandatory consumer rights.

Content copies already downloaded or held by third parties may be outside our control. We may retain the minimum records needed for investigation or legal obligations rather than destroy evidence immediately. We do not promise deletion from every third-party system.

Appeals and policy changes

Reply to the decision email or ticket, or email support@duomeme.com with the subject Content safety appeal, the decision reference and supporting information. The operator will reconsider the evidence; the same 2-business-day acknowledgement and 7-business-day initial-result windows apply. A mistaken decision will be corrected where possible.

Changes are published on this page with an updated date. See Support and Contact for other support requests.
